Meet Pete! Isn't he a hunk!?!?!?!
Pete came to us from the Hesperia shelter. He has been with us since just before Thanksgiving and we have gotten to know a lot about him.
Pete is a tender hearted guy who just wants to snuggle and love his humans. He is very affectionate with people he knows, and he does take a few minutes to get to know them, but once you win him over, he will love you forever.
At one point, he was fostered with a lot of dogs, and he did great with them, but he seems to have a problem meeting dogs that aren’t them. we deemed him to need to be an only dog. After placing him in two homes where his “no other dogs” status was challenged, he did not pass the challenge, he was returned. We placed Henry in a board and train program with our great friends at Presidential K9 (link to their website is on our homepage). He has excelled in this program and the staff believes with proper boundaries, he has the ability to be in public with other dogs, but we think Pete needs to be an only dog in his home.
Pete comes professionally trained, and his training that we paid for comes with 5 complimentary sessions for his new family.
