BAXTER IV & SHADOW

BAXTER IV: Baxter and Shadow were owner surrender. They didn’t get out much and probably never felt grass on their paw before their foster mom took them in.
Hi! This is Baxter. Baxter and his brother Shadow are a package deal. They are neutered and up to date on their shots, AND THEY ARE ONLY 6 MOS. OLD! Baxter is a fun loving pup with a playful disposition. He walks well on a leash, knows sit, and plays well with other dogs. Shadow gets along with most dogs but it may take a moment for him to feel comfortable because he doesn’t have a lot of confidence in new situations yet. He can be shy around new humans but when you get to see him open up it is truly amazing. When new people are around he normally sends in his brother Shadow first to see how they are, once he sees all the attention Shadow is getting he can't resist and walks up with his butt wiggling. His foster mom expected to be further along in his training but she ended up taking in more dogs which took up a lot of time. He learns quickly and reacts to positive reinforcement. Baxter & Shadow are very playful and high energy dogs. They are currently being walked 4 times a day but what they really need is a space for them to run at full speed. I could see them being good jogging partners and eventually hiking buddies. Shadow & Baxter do well with sharing everything with each other. Bowls, beds, toys, treats, and more. They will probably still have some accidents in the house but they are working on it and they are crate trained.
SHADOW: Hey there, meet Shadow. Shadow is Baxter’s brother and they are looking for their forever home together! They are both neutered and up to date on their shots. Shadow is deaf but is the most loving dog there is. He wants to be in your lap and nudge you with his nose for a pet. This "little" man is a smidgen bigger than his brother. Right now he weighs 50 pounds and doesn't know his own strength at times. He thinks play time is all the time. He is floppy and silly. He trips over himself and will always put a smile on your face. He is in need of some training but he learned to sit before his brother did! His forever human is going to need to be able to work with him on his education. He wants to please he just doesn't know what is right and what is wrong yet. He is high energy and just wants to run and play most of the time. He loves to rough house with his brother on a nice grassy yard. Sometimes he will start running around in circles just so his brother will start to chase him. He will even start to chase butterflies in the back yard if you are lucky enough to see this cute act. He pulls on the leash at times, but with the right collar he minds well. He is not shy, he will go up to anyone and say hello with an expectation of getting some pets in. They both are great with children, just need to know when to back off from the kisses. IT is important that their forever humans take time out of their day to give them the proper exercise they need. They need to be allowed to run free in a back yard, wrestle, and get all that extra energy out so they can be a cuddle bug with you after. Shadow is learning not to pee inside and tries to hold it but sometimes accidents happen. Shadow and Baxter are crate trained and were able to be in a crate for 4 hours at a time.
BOTH PUPPIES ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF A NEW FOSTER HOME AS THE CURRENT FOSTER MOMMY SUFFERS FROM EXTREME ALLERGIES!
