SHADOW II

Picture
There once was a time in this country when the Pitbull was known as the "nanny dog", due to his trustworthiness, gentle nature and
instinct to protect his loved ones. Unfortunately, their eagerness to please has been used against them in recent years and the Pitbull
is now regarded as dangerous by some people. Having worked with hundreds of aggressive dogs over the years, we at SAR can
confidently report that the Pitbull is way down the list of difficult breeds to work with. In fact, most of us would agree that our own beloved Boxers can be far more unpredictable than the unfairly maligned pittie.

This brings us to Shadow. He is a 5 year old blue-nosed Pitbull with a strong desire to dole out kisses and receive belly rubs. In the grand tradition of his kind, he is great with children. Rather than dump Shadow at a shelter where his chances of making it out alive would be slim, his owner  reached out to us to to see if we could help to find him a new home. Due to his current housing situation he was forced to put Shadow in boarding. Admirably, he realized that Shadow deserved better.
It would be great to place Shadow in a home with someone who is experienced with bully breeds. A second chance is all that this proud Pitbull needs.
