FREDERICKZen Master German Shepherd
Fred has been with us for one week and has been a joy. Not only does he get along great with Orpheus, he's also had a calming affect on our recently adopted dog, Polly. Fred is perfect on leash and I'm sure I've seen a little envy in the eyes of my neighbors as they struggle with their Chihuahuas while my German Shepherd and two Boxers quietly stroll on by like a pack of well trained show dogs. Like most dogs that enter our house, he's been corrected by our cat Misha when he dares to look in her direction or try to get in a quick sniff. It really helps to let the animals do the dirty work so I can look like the good guy. No problems at all with meeting new people. Like most Shepherds he's very intelligent and will pick up on subtleties. A dog savvy person is recommended for any GSD. Fred has a sweetness about him and is eager to please. He's not pushy at all, but does enjoy human companionship. I've had him around children of all ages and he has had no reaction to them. In my opinion Fred is more than ready to go to a new home. He bonds very easily with people so his next home should be a keeper. I'd hate to have to put this resilient boy through any more turmoil. I would have to give Fred an A+ rating as a foster dog.
