update on ABBIEAbbie is doing fantastic here with us. We have helped build her confidence around other dogs. She enjoys pack walks with the other dogs in our home and walks beautifully on a leash. She sleeps through the night and doesn't have any accidents. She is gaining weight slowly and loves to eat now, she is thriving much better in our home than in the boarding facility. She is crate trained and is happy during the day in her comfy crate and prefers to be crated with our other boxer, Penny. She loves to play with the other dogs and play ball. She also likes to jump on the trampoline with her 7 year old human brother. She hasn't chewed anything in our home, she only plays with her toys. She hasn't tried to jump our fence and pays no mind to the neighbors dogs or people walking down the street, bicycles, or cars. She took her first trip to the dog beach and though it was on leash she enjoyed it very much. She didn't mind getting in the water and didn't mind the water splashing up on her. She is perfect on car rides. We have transitioned her from being fed alone to being pack fed and she is very good with eating around the other dogs. We are training her further on not jumping up on us, she is doing very well. Abbie is very lovable, eager to please and extremely smart. She is very agile and a fast runner. She listens very well especially for her age and will only get better. For the innocent age of 1 and only a few weeks of training, Abbie is very receptive to training and is a very fast learner. She is calm when it's not play time and fun and silly when it is. She would be happiest in a home with children and/or other dogs to play with though she does not require the attention of others, she is happy playing alone as well.

ABBIEAbbie is our new little princess. She's a one year old petite brindle beauty. Abbie loves to romp
with all willing participants, human and canine alike. Like many dogs coming from a shelter situation she could benefit from a little more socialization. An active family with the patience needed for a young pooch would be ideal. |
