Lady came to us via a California shelter as an owner surrender after being adopted from the same shelter as a young dog. She had a terrible skin condition, however with a lot of vetting and an actual diagnoses her hair has mostly grown back and she's becoming a very healthy and happy go lucky girl.
Lady has limited vision although that does not stop her from exploring her environment. She enjoys dogs her same size and has gone to a small dog park and met other dogs that she has interacted and started to play with. She would do well with another calm dog her same size to teach her the lay out of her new home and yard. Lady is good on a leash and LOVES car rides and her hair blowing in the wind (she wears doggles and loves them).
Lady is a love bug, and she loves her person. Her form of separation anxiety is to pick up her food dish and carry it around the house, dumping whatever food she had in it all over indoors and out. I think that is probably the least destructive separation anxiety we've ever seen. Then, she goes around sniffing and eating all the food she dropped all over. Lady should not be crated or left alone for extended periods of time.
Her playful mood and puppy behavior is endearing. She has some gray hairs, but don't we all?
Lady has not been introduced to cats, and due to her limited sight concern small children might scare her, she would also need a home without stairs. She would love another fur companion or have you all to herself. She's a delightful senior girl who we want to help find her forever and final home.
Lady is microchipped, up-to-date on all her vaccines, has had a senior geriatric panel and ready for her next and final adventure!
Let's find Lady her forever ending and forever home.
